In 1999 The Australian Government introduced an electronic visa application system for short stay tourist visas and short stay business visas. This means that when you apply for an Australian tourist visa it is no longer necessary to spend hours queuing up inside an Australian Consulate or Embassy to receive your visa label in your passport. It takes around 24 hours to process your tourist visa application, once processed you will receive an email confirming your visa has been issued.

An Australian working holiday visa application is a quick way of gaining the required visa to allow young people aged over 18 but not yet 31 years old to work and travel around Australia for 12 months.
