Financial Requirements
A further requirement of a New Zealand working holiday visa is that you have sufficient funds to meet your basic needs during your stay. The New Zealand visa financial requirements state that you must have a minimum of £150 per month of your stay. Around £2000 is considered sufficient for a twelve month stay. This requirement is to ensure that you can meet your basic living costs.
You will be asked to declare that you have this at the point of application. The New Zealand authorities sometimes ask for proof of funds when entering the country.
You must also possess a ticket to depart New Zealand, or have sufficient funds to purchase a ticket. You may also be asked for proof of this when entering New Zealand.
