Parent Visas To Australia
The Parent Migration Program enables Australian
citizens and permanent residents to sponsor their parents to migrate to
Australia.
 In order to be eligible for Parent Migration for Australia, you must be
the parent of an Australian citizen, permanent resident or eligible New
Zealand citizen. You must also pass the ‘balance of family’ test, this
specifies that at least half of your children must live permanently in
Australia; or you must have more children living permanently in
Australia than in any other single country.
You will be need to be sponsored by your child, or another adult, who
has been settled in Australia as a citizen or permanent resident for at
least 2 years. Your sponsor will be required to provide a legal
undertaking to support you during your first 2 years in Australia.
You must also satisfy health and character requirements for permanent
entry to Australia.
