The Australian working holiday visa scheme provides a great opportunity for young people aged 18 – 31 to travel round Australia, whilst earning money to help fund your holiday.
Your Australia working holiday visa permits you to stay for up to 12 months. Your visa permits you to work to subsidise your travel when entering under Australian working holiday visas. However, you may only work for an individual employer for a maximum of 6 months.
You may also study or train for up to 4 months using your Australian working holiday visa. There is also the opportunity to extend Australia working holiday visas for up to another 12 months by completing 3 months seasonal work, you will be required to provide evidence of this when applying for your second year.
 To be eligible for an Australian working holiday visa, you must be aged between 18-30 at the time of your application. You must also have no dependent children. If you have dependent children but they will not be joining you on your travels then you can apply using a manual application. Please contact our office directly for further information.
Not every country is eligible to apply for a Working holiday visa, you must hold a valid passport from one of the following countries:
Belgium, Canada, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Korea, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Taiwan or United Kingdom.
US passport Holders can apply for a Work and Holiday visa. The condition are exactly the same however you must have graduated from a high school and be able to provide details of the qualifications held and of the education provider. The additional information will be requested after you have lodged your application by email.
All applications for an Australia working holiday visa must be made from outside Australia. Finally, there are certain health, character and financial requirements that may affect your application for Australia working holiday visas.
 The application process usually takes around 48 hours. However, in some situations it may take longer. Once Australian working holiday visas have been issued, you have up to 12 months to activate the visa by entering Australia. From the date you enter under an Australian working holiday visa you may stay in Australia for 12 months. You may leave and re-enter Australia as many times as you wish during this time. Us applications usually take up to 2 weeks.
There is also the opportunity to extend Australia working holiday visas for up to another 12 months by completing 3 months seasonal work, you will be required to provide evidence of this when applying for your second year. Your Australian Working Holiday Visa will permit you to stay in Australia for up to 12 months.

You have 12 months to enter Australia from the day your visa is issued. You will then be allowed to stay for 12 months from the time you first arrive on Australian soil.

Your Australian Working Holiday Visa is valid on your passport for 12 months from day you first enter Australia, and will allow multiple entry.
>> How long will it take for my visa to be issued?
Your Australian Working Holiday Visa will usually be issued within 48 hours and a confirmation of your visa will be posted or emailed to you.
