How do I apply for a Working Holiday Visa?
You can apply online right here. Please ensure you have the following:
- Passport details
- Contact details
- Details of any medical conditions or criminal convictions you may have
- Means of payment
When applying, you will be asked to provide your passport details. The details on your application must match those on your passport. You will then be asked a list of questions including your proposed date of travel, occupation, type of work you intend to pursue, your highest qualification, contact details as well as the list of health and character requirements.
You will be asked to answer positively to the declaration supplied by the government which states you will obey by the Australian laws and legislation.
Once your application has been submitted, you will be issued with a TRN (transaction reference number) which is unique to each application. This will allow you to track the status of your visa.
Once your visa has been approved, you will be issued with your grant. This will normally be sent to you by email.
You will be required to take a copy of this with your travel documents. Your visa will be electronically tagged to your passport. This means that when your passport is scanned at your departure airport, the system will show your authority to travel.
Your confirmation has vital information in it. It confirms to potential employers that you are able to work legally in Australia and also lists the terms and conditions of your visa.
